Pharmacological properties
Has antiseptic, local irritative and anti-inflammatory action. Suppresses secretion grease and sweat glands. In low concentration renders keratoplastichesky, and in high – keratolytic action. Has weak antimicrobial activity.

Indications

Routes of administration and doses
Process the struck surface of 1% alcohol solution 2-3 times a day. The maximum daily dose for adults – 2 g of salicylic acid, for children – 0.2 g of salicylic acid.
A course of treatment – no more than 1 week.

Side effects
– local reactions in the form of an itching, burnings, skin rash.

Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to drug
– children’s age up to 6 years

Medicinal interactions
Salicylic acid can increase permeability of skin for other. Hp for topical administration and by that to strengthen their absorption. The soaked-up salicylic acid can enhance side effects of a methotrexate and oral hypoglycemic HP, sulphonylurea derivatives. Solution pharmaceutical is incompatible with resorcin (forms the melting mixes) and zinc oxide (insoluble salicylate of zinc).

Special instructions
should not be applied drug mucous membranes, on birthmarks, hairy warts, warts in genitals or a face.
At treatment of children it is necessary to avoid processing of several sites of skin at the same time.
