Compound
One tablet contains
- active ingredient – umifenovir hydrochloride 100 mg,
- excipients: povidone (K 17), microcrystalline cellulose, modified corn starch (Starch 1500), anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, white opadra II (polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), polyethylene glycol, talc).
Indications for use
– influenza A and B, acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI)
– as part of the complex therapy of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and recurrent herpes infection
– prevention of influenza and SARS during the epidemic season
– prevention of postoperative infectious complications
– as part of the complex therapy of acute intestinal infections rotavirus etiology in children older than 6 years
Dosage and administration
Inside, 30 minutes before a meal or 2 hours after a meal. Single dose: children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg (2 tablets of 100 mg or 4 tablets of 50 mg).
For non-specific prophylaxis
In direct contact with patients with influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections :
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg once a day, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg once a day for 10-14 days.
During an epidemic of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections :
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg each, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg twice a week for 3 weeks.
For treatment
Influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections without complications:
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg each, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days.
In the complex treatment of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, herpes infection:
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg each, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5-7 days, then a single dose 2 times a week for 4 weeks.
Complex therapy of acute intestinal infections of rotavirus etiology in children older than 6 years:
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg each, over 12 years old – 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days.
Prevention of postoperative infectious complications:
– children from 6 to 12 years old – 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults – 200 mg once 2 days before surgery, then at the same dose once on days 2 and 5 after surgery.
Side effects
Rarely
– allergic reactions (rash, anaphylactic reaction)
– heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
– children’s age up to 6 years
– pregnancy and lactation
– hereditary lactose intolerance, lactose deficiency,
malabsorption of glucose, galactose
Drug Interactions

Special instructions
It is necessary to follow the scheme recommended in the instructions and the duration of taking the drug. In case of missing one dose of the drug, the missed dose should be taken as soon as possible and the course of taking the drug should be continued according to the started scheme.
Pregnancy and lactation
Due to the lack of necessary clinical experience, it is not recommended to take Arpeflu during pregnancy, unless the possible benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Features of the influence of the drug on the ability to drive a vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms
It does not show central neurotropic activity and can be used in people of various professions, incl. requiring increased attention and coordination of movements (transport drivers, operators, etc.).

Shelf life – 3 years.
