Structure
of 100 g of cream
substance of 0.1 g,
excipients support a mometazon of furoate in terms of 100%: hexyleneglycol, glyceryl monostearate 40-55, cetostearyl alcohol, a macrogoal of the 20th cetostearyl ether, wax white, paraffin white soft (vaseline), the titan dioxide (E 171), the aluminum salt of octenylsuccinate of starch, phosphoric acid divorced, the water purified.
Description
Cream of white or almost white color.

Pharmacokinetics Degree properties of penetration of corticosteroids of topical administration through skin depends on many factors, including composition of drug and integrity of an epidermal barrier. In 8 hours after putting cream on the uninjured skin (without occlusive bandage) system absorption is about 0.4%. Injury of skin, existence of inflammatory process and use with an occlusive bandage, lead to strengthening of penetration of drug through skin. Because children have a size of a ratio of surface area and body weight it is more, than at adults, at children higher absorption of drug is revealed.
The pharmacodynamics
Moderm cream is the highly effective synthetic corticosteroid possessing anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, anti-exudative and vasoconstrictive action. GKS induces discharge of the proteins inhibiting a phospholipase of A2 and known under the general name of a lipokortina which control biosynthesis of such mediators of inflammation as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, by slowing down of release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid.
Corticosteroids suppress an accumulation and further migration of cells in the field of damage and also eliminate expansion and hyperpermeability of vessels in the field of damage that reduces access of cells to sites of damage of fabrics. In addition corticosteroids can also prevent access of sensibilized T lymphocytes and macrophages to target cells. Anti-proliferative action reduces a hyperplasia of cells in psoriasis.
Indications
– the inflammatory phenomena and an itching at the dermatosis demanding therapy by glucocorticosteroids
– the states which are followed by a hyperkeratosis (atopic and seborrheal dermatitis, psoriasis, chronic eczema)
– allergodermatoza
the Route of administration and doses
apply a Thin film of cream on affected areas of skin once a day.
Duration of treatment is established by the doctor, proceeding from the diagnosis, efficiency of treatment, presence of side effects and also tolerance of drug patients.
Side effects
At skin appliques of drug can arise the following local reactions:
Seldom
– irritation and xeroderma, a folliculitis, a hypertrichosis, acne rash, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, consecutive infection, striya and a heat rash
Very seldom
– burning, an itching, a skin atrophy, appearance of pink eels
the Probability of emergence of the listed undesirable phenomena increases at use of occlusive bandages.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to any component of drug
– children’s age up to 2 years
Medicinal interactions
of Interaction with other medicines are not described so far. On chemical properties of a mometazon furoate is not compatible to alkalis.
The special
instructions Drug Moderm cream of 0.1% is intended only for skin use in dermatology and not intended for use in ophthalmology.
Cream is recommended to be applied at the acute processes which are followed by exudation and on the most sensitive sites of skin (person, skin folds) and a hairy part of the head of children and elderly people.
In case of development of the accompanying infection of skin it is necessary to apply the appropriate antifungal or antibacterial agent.
If within 2 weeks after the beginning of therapy of improvement does not occur, it is necessary to specify the diagnosis.
Use in pediatrics
Because children have a size of a ratio of surface area and body weight is more, than at adults, children are subject to bigger risk of suppression of function gipotalamo – a hypophysial and adrenal system and ment of a syndrome of Cushing at external use of GKS. Long-term treatment of children of GKS can lead to disorder of growth and development. Children have to receive the minimum dose of drug sufficient for achievement of effect.
Moderm cream should not be applied to treatment of the dermatitis caused by wearing diapers.
Pregnancy and the period of a lactation
Moderm cream is applied at pregnant women only when the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential threat for a fruit. The feeding women need to interrupt breastfeeding for drug treatment.
Overdose
Symptoms: system absorption at topical administration of cream from a mometazon by furoate can lead to emergence of system effects.
Treatment: symptomatic.
A form of release and packing
Cream of 0.1% on 15 g in tubas aluminum. Each tuba together with the instruction for medical use in the state and Russian languages is placed in a pack from cardboard.
To Store storage conditions at a temperature not above 25 °C.

A period of storage

it is not necessary to use drug after the termination of the expiration date specified
on packing.
