Description

Structure and form of release
of the Tablet round, flat, white or almost white color, with a facet and a notch on one party.

Pharmacological action
Blocker histamine H1 receptors. Renders long antiallergic and also antipruritic and anti-exudative action. Reduces permeability of capillaries, prevents edematization of fabrics, removes spasms of smooth muscles. Does not influence central nervous system and does not cause accustoming. Effect of drug begins in 30 min. after reception, reaches a maximum a cher of 8-12 h and

Prevention and treatment of the following diseases and states remains during 24 h the Indication: – seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis, – allergic conjunctivitis, – treatment of skin diseases of allergic genesis (including a chronic idiopathic small tortoiseshell), – pseudo-allergic reactions, – allergic reactions to stings of insects.
The mode of dosing
by the Adult and to children is more senior than 12 years and also to children of younger age with body weight more than 30 kg are appointed on 10 mg/days (1 tab. or 2 dosing spoons of/10 ml/), to children are from 2 to 12 years with body weight less than 30 kg – on 5 mg/days (1 dosing spoon of/5 ml / or 1/2 tab.). The drug is taken 1 time a day. For patients with abnormal liver functions or a renal failure the initial dose of drug makes 10 mg – 1 tablet or 2 dosing spoons of suspension every other day. To children 12 years are younger suspension use is recommended.
Side effect
At adults: dryness in a mouth, nausea, gastritis, a headache, increased fatigue, drowsiness, it is rare (less than at 1%) – abnormal liver functions, allergic reactions (pour), anaphylactic reactions, an alopecia. At children: seldom – a headache, nervousness, sedation. Frequency of the specified side effects at use of Lomilanum was at the same level, as at placebo use.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to drug. With care appoint drug in a liver failure. There are no data on safety and efficiency of use of Lomilanum for children under 2 years.
Pregnancy and a lactation
Use of Lomilanum at pregnancy is possible only when the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit. Loratadin is allocated with breast milk therefore in need of prescribing of drug in the period of a lactation it is necessary to resolve an issue of the breastfeeding termination.

Overdose
Symptoms: a headache, drowsiness, heartbeat which can proceed a long time. Treatment: at reception of excess amount of Lomilanum it is necessary to remove as soon as possible drug from a GIT and whenever possible to reduce its absorption (gastric lavage, intake of activated carbon). There is no specific antidote.
Medicinal interaction
At simultaneous use with ketokonazoly and Cimetidinum concentration of a loratadin in blood increases. The concomitant use of inductors of microsomal oxidation (Phenytoinum, ethanol, barbiturates, rifampicin, tricyclic antidepressants) reduces efficiency of a loratadin.
Conditions and periods of storage
Drug in the form of tablets should be stored in dry, protected from light and the place, inaccessible for children, at a temperature up to 25 °C. Drug in the form of suspension should be stored out of children’s reach at a temperature up to 25 °C. An expiration date – 4 years.
