Structure
of 2 ml of solution for injections contain
active agent - Metoclopramidum a hydrochloride of 10 mg,
excipients: sodium sulfite of 0.25 mg, sodium chloride of 16 mg, dinatrivy salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA dinatrium)
of 0.8 mg, water for injections up to 2 ml.

Lowers physical activity of a gullet, raises a tone of the lower sphincter of a gullet, accelerates gastric emptying and also accelerates advance of food on a small intestine, without causing diarrhea. Metoclopramidum stimulates secretion of prolactin and causes tranzitorny increase in level of the circulating Aldosteronum that can be followed by a short-term delay of liquid.
Indications
- vomiting, nausea, a hiccups of various genesis
- an atony and hypotonia of a stomach and intestines (including

Enter the Route of administration and doses intramusculary or intravenously, the adult on 10 mg (2 ml of 0.5% of solution) 1-3 times a day, in severe nausea or vomiting.
Maximum daily concentration of 60 mg. The average duration of a course is 4-6 weeks.
To children 6 years of 5 mg (1 ml of 0.5% of solution) 1-3 times a day, a daily dose of 15 mg are more senior.
For children under 6 years the daily dose makes 0.5-1 mg/kg, reception frequency 1-3 times a day. Inside to children aged 3-5lt appoint 2 mg of 2-3 times/days, at the age of 1-3 years - on 1 mg of 2-3 times/days, to 1goda-on 1 mg of 2 times/days.
For X-ray inspection enter adult 10-20 mg (2-4 ml of 0.5% of solution) intravenously.
Side effects
- a constipation, diarrhea, dryness in a mouth
- feeling of fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, a headache, a depression, an akathisia. Emergence of extrapyramidal symptoms at children and persons of young age is possible (even after single use of Metoclopramidum): the spasm of facial muscles, hyperkinesias, a spastic wryneck (as a rule, pass right after the termination of intake of Metoclopramidum)
- an agranulocytosis
- skin rash
- at prolonged use in high doses - a galactorrhoea, a gynecomastia, disturbances of a menstrual cycle
- at prolonged use, is more often at patients of advanced age, the phenomena of parkinsonism, dyskinesia

At simultaneous use Metoclopramidum strengthens absorption of acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol, ethanol, a levodopa, tetracycline, ampicillin, reduces absorption of digoxin and Cimetidinum. At simultaneous use with Cimetidinum the decrease in efficiency of its absorption, posledny because of disturbance, is possible. It is not necessary to appoint Metoclopramidum along with neuroleptics (especially fenotiazinovy row and phenyl propyl ketone derivatives) as the risk of emergence of extrapyramidal reactions increases. Strengthens effect of alcohol and the drugs oppressing central nervous system.
Special instructions
With care apply at patients from renal/hepatic insufficiency, bronchial asthma, arterial hypertension. It is not effective in vomiting of vestibular genesis. Do not appoint after digestive tract surgeries (pyloroplasty or an anastomosis of intestines) as vigorous muscular contractions interfere with healing of seams.

At administration of drug should avoid potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention, fast mental and motor reaction (control of vehicles, etc.).
Overdose
Symptoms: drowsiness, confusion of consciousness, irritability, spasms, extrapyramidal motive disorders, dysfunctions of a cardiovascular system with bradycardia and arterial hypo - or hypertensia. Treatment: carry out symptomatic therapy.
