Pharmacological

Antiseptic properties. The main active ingredient is the molecular iodine having antiseptic property. When drawing, iodine has resorptive effect on the extensive surfaces of skin: influences functions of a thyroid gland. Local action is caused by ability of elementary iodine, to besiege fabric proteins. The drug which is chipping off elementary iodine renders considerably less significant irritant action. Influence of drug on a metabolism is shown by strengthening of processes of dissimilation.

Indications

– for topical administration in surgical practice

– processing of grazes, cuts, small wounds

the Route of administration and doses

Outwardly, process the damaged sites of skin. Locally: when processing the surgery field the skin is twice wiped with the sterile gauze tampon moistened in solution. General time of processing of 4-6 minutes. For topical administration the gauze napkins moisten previously with iodine solution, impose on the struck surface of skin within not less than 2 minutes.

Side effects

Seldom

– allergic reaction to iodine (skin itching, hyperaemia, a small tortoiseshell, irritation of skin)

– a Quincke’s edema, intracutaneous hemorrhages, a purpura

– fever, an arthralgia, a limfoadenopatiya,

the Contraindication eosinophilia

– hypersensitivity to iodine

– diseases of a thyroid gland

– use along with lithium drug

– herpetiform dermatitis

Medicinal interactions

Use of iodine affects results of functional tests of a thyroid gland. It is incompatible pharmaceutical with essential oils, enzymes. Alkaline or acidic environment, presence of fat, pus, blood weaken antiseptic activity of drug.

Special instructions

Avoid long use.

Only for external use.

Not to cover the iodine solutions applied to skin with occlusive bandages.

Not to use on big, open wounds.

At combined use with yellow mercury ointment the formation of mercury of the iodide possessing the cauterizing action is possible.

Use for pediatrics

Is possible drug use on doctor’s orders.

Pregnancy and the period of a lactation

Features of influence of medicine on ability to run the vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms

the Overdose does not influence

not to use inside! In case of unintentional use inside.

Symptoms: unpleasant metal smack in a mouth, vomiting, an abdominal pain, diarrhea, thirst a headache. The lethal dose of iodine makes the 2-3rd. Treatment: symptomatic treatment of allergic reactions, in acute poisoning is recommended plentiful consumption of milk and vegetable starch, activated carbon, use of solution of sodium thiosulphate

of 1% or 5%. The lack of electrolytes and water have to be compensated.

Pethidine or morphine sulfate I can be applied to stopping of pain, only under observation of the doctor. If necessary – tracheotomy.

A form of release and packing

On 10 and 20 ml in the bottles from glass melt with a screw mouth corked by the polyethylene traffic jams and covers screwed or a cover polyethylene with the condensing element or in bottles polyethylene with a screw cover for medicines.

Bottles together with iinstruktion on medical use in the state and Russian languages in the corresponding quantity stack in feet from brown paper or in a box of cardboard bandbox either a film polyethylene thermoshrinkable or boxes from corrugated fibreboard.
