Candide’s pharmacodynamics is locally operating antifungal means from group of derivatives of an imidazole. Action Candida is connected with disturbance of synthesis of the ergosterol which is a component of a cellular membrane of mushrooms. Its absence causes significant changes in the building and properties of a cover. The hyperpermeability of a cover leads to lysis of a fungal cell that leads to additional accumulation in a cell of 14 L methylsterols, being predecessors in ergosterol synthesis. Besides, Candide suppresses activity of peroxidases (including mitochondrial) that in addition facilitates accumulation in a fungal cell of the peroxide of hydrogen participating in its destruction. Candide is the antifungal broad-spectrum agent suppressing growth of the majority of the fungi pathogenic for the person including the following: Blactomyces dermatitidis, Candida spp., Coccidioides immitis, Cryptotococcus neoformans (Torula histolytica), Dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), Histoplasma capsulatum, Malassezia furfur, Naegleria fowleri, Nocardia spp., Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, Sporotrichum schenckii.
