Urodan (Urodanum) 100.0 g COMPOSITION per 100 g:
Biologically active components:
Other ingredients: Disodium phosphate 37.5 g, Tartaric acid 35.6 g Sugar 1.9 g
Urodan contains dry, highly concentrated standardized bearberry leaf extract. It is a natural antiseptic
Urodan has a disinfecting, anti-inflammatory and diuretic effect, cleans the urinary tract from bacterial flora and inflammation products due to the content of a significant amount of arbutin and tannins in the granules.
The antimicrobial properties of Urodan are associated with the content of arbutin glycoside in the bearberry leaf extract, which, under the influence of the arbutase enzyme, is split into free hydroquinone and glucose.
The antiseptic properties of Urodan are due to the antimicrobial and local irritating effect of hydroquinone, which, excreted in the urine through the kidneys, irritates the renal tissue and also increases urinary excretion.
Hydroquinone increases the activity of redox reactions, has a pronounced effect on metabolism, oxygen uptake by tissues, blood glucose, potassium, glutathione, reduces diabetic ketoacidosis.
The healing effect is enhanced by the specific action of tannins and hydrolysis products. Tannins, like other polyphenols, have different types of biological action. The positive effect of tannins is due to their astringent and antiseptic properties. In small concentrations, they block the growth of most microorganisms. And at high concentrations, tannins act as antibacterial agents, causing the death of microbes
Tartaric acid is found in grape berries, pineapples, sorrel and some other fruits and plants
Urodan should be used in treatment of the following diseases:
Administered orally before meals, 1 teaspoon per 1 / g glass of water 3-4 times a day.
The course is 30-40 days.
