What is NAZOFERON Nasal Spray/Drops?
NAZOFERON is a nasal spray or drops that contain the active ingredient interferon alfa-2b (100,000 IU/ml).
Interferon alfa-2b is a substance known for its antiviral and immune-stimulating properties, making NAZOFERON a helpful treatment for the prevention and management of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).
It can be used for both adults and children starting from 1 month of age (for the drops) and from 1 year (for the spray).
The product is easy to apply, designed for nasal use, and helps boost the immune system to fight off viral infections.
How does NAZOFERON work?
NAZOFERON contains interferon alfa-2b, a type of protein produced by the body’s immune system. It has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulating effects, which means it helps protect cells from viral infection and supports the body’s immune response.
By stimulating immune cells, it assists the body in fighting off viruses that cause respiratory infections.
This makes NAZOFERON particularly effective in preventing and treating conditions like the common cold and flu.
Who can use NAZOFERON?
NAZOFERON can be used for both prevention and treatment of ARVI in:
- Children from 1 month of age (for the nasal drops).
- Children from 1 year of age (for the nasal spray).
- Adults of all ages.
It is especially recommended for individuals at higher risk of frequent respiratory infections, including healthcare workers, teachers, or those frequently in contact with sick individuals.
