The drug is practically not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The absorption of aluminum phosphate is about 0.087%. Absorbed aluminum is completely excreted from the body by the kidneys. Does not bind to food phosphates.
It has an acid-neutralizing, enveloping, adsorbing effect. Reduces the proteolytic activity of pepsin. Does not cause alkalization of gastric juice, keeping the acidity of gastric contents at the physiological level. Does not lead to secondary hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid. Forms a protective layer on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. Promotes the removal of toxins, gases and microorganisms throughout the digestive tract, normalizes the passage of contents through the intestines.
