Pharmacokinetics Drug properties has mainly local effect, is soaked up through mucous membranes at usual use in insignificant quantity. Action begins in 10 – 15 min. after use, reaches a maximum in 1 – 2 h, continues during 5 – 6 h.
The pharmacodynamics
of Pharmazolin® of N belongs to the non-selective α-adrenomimetika narrowing vessels of a mucous membrane and reducing expressiveness of processes of inflammation. When drawing has antiedematous effect on a mucous membrane of a nose, reduces hyperaemia and exudation that leads to simplification of nasal breath, reduction of a blood-groove in venous sine.
Indications
- symptomatic treatment of congestion of a nose in cold, hay fever, allergic rhinitises, sinusitis
- for simplification of outflow of a secret in diseases of adnexal bosoms of a nose
- auxiliary therapy in cases of average otitis (for elimination of hypostasis of a mucous membrane)
- for simplification of carrying out a rinoskopiya
the Route of administration and doses
to Adults and children are more senior than 6 years appoint on 1 injection in each nasal course 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose – 3 injections. Drug is used within 5 days.
Just before use it is necessary to take a bottle with drug in a palm to warm up it to body temperature. Before administration of drug it is necessary to clean a nose accurately. During drug use the bottle is held vertically, the spray up. For use remove a protective cap of a bottle, place a tip in the nasal course, the sharp movement squeeze a bottle and, having taken out a tip from a nose, unclench. During injection it is recommended to inhale slightly through a nose. After use, drug is closed a protective cap.
Side effects
Often:
- the burning sensation, pricking, dryness in a nose
is rare:
- a rhinedema, disturbance of sense of smell up to an atrophy mucous a nose (is more often at prolonged use)
- dizziness, a headache, insomnia
- vomiting
- increase in arterial blood pressure, tachycardia, disturbance of a warm rhythm
is Very rare:
- a short-term disorder of vision, increase in intraocular pressure
- allergic reactions is possible
- a depression
Frequency is unknown:
- a rhinalgia, local irritation, an itching
- sneezing
- an itching of eyes
- nausea
- short wind
- a Quincke's disease, system allergic reactions (including in the form of anafilatichesky shock, generalized urticaria).
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to drug components
- a hyperthyroidism
- acute coronary diseases, coronary asthma
- a closed-angle form of glaucoma
- atrophic rhinitis
- surgical interventions on a meninx (in the anamnesis)
- the accompanying treatment by MAO inhibitors for 2 weeks after the termination of their use
- children's age up to 6 years

Medicinal interactions
of Pharmazolin® of N interacts with other medicines only with resorptive effect. Drugs of an adrenomimetika of other groups strengthen action of Pharmazolina® of N. Adrenolytic drugs and sympatholytics, antagonists of calcium weaken its effects. Drug strengthens hypertensive effect of tricyclic antidepressants (Nialamidum, befol) and MAO inhibitors on a cardiovascular system, as well as psychogogic effects of antidepressants. Sympathomimetics should not be applied together with sedatives (weakening of action).
Special instructions
athletes Should apply especially carefully α-adrenomimetik during the competitions.
Without consultation of the doctor do not use drug longer than an established period! At prolonged use the tolerance (reduction or total absence of effect) quickly develops.
Use in pediatric practice
In this dosage form drug is not appointed to children under 6 years.
Pregnancy and the period of a lactation
Drug cannot be used during pregnancy because of vasoconstrictive effect. In the period of a lactation to use drug only when the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for the child.
Features of influence of medicine on ability to run the vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms
Drug does not affect ability to run the vehicle or to work with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Overdose
Symptoms: a headache, dryness in a nose, nausea, a depression, increase in arterial blood pressure, a short-term disorder of vision, the speeded-up and irregular pulse, drowsiness, respiratory depression, a loss of consciousness.
Treatment: to stop use of drug and to appoint drugs antagonists: sympatholytics and α-adrenoblockers (phentolamine, Tropaphenum), symptomatic therapy.
If the drug accidentally was taken inside, it is necessary to wash out a stomach, to accept depletive and enterosorbents, to carry out treatment by α-adrenoblockers, symptomatic therapy.
Form of release and packing
Spray nasal 1 mg/ml. On 15 ml in bottles polyethylene, provided with a nozzle with the doser and a protective cap. Each bottle together with the instruction for medical use in the state and Russian languages is put in a pack from cardboard.
To Store storage conditions in the place protected from light, at a temperature not above 25ºС.
To store out of children's reach!
