Drug interactions

Nimulide can enhance the efficacy and toxicity of many drugs, as a result of displacement from the binding sites with plasma proteins and, thus, an increase in their free fraction in the blood. It is prescribed with caution with anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, digoxin, phenytoin, lithium preparations, diuretics, antihypertensive drugs, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, cyclosporine, methotrexate. There is no clinically significant interaction of Nimulide with furosemide, warfarin, digoxin, theophylline, cimetidine, antacids.

Nimulide has a high similarity to blood plasma proteins, therefore, it can prevent the binding of other drugs taken simultaneously with Nimesulide with plasma proteins and change their pharmacokinetic profile. Nimulide increases the concentration of drugs competing for protein binding.

Special instructions

During treatment with Nimulid, symptoms may develop (loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue or dark urine), which indicate impaired liver function, and you should stop taking Nimulid and immediately inform your doctor. If the patient has ever suffered from peptic ulcers, bleeding of the stomach or intestines, ulcerative colitis, they should inform the doctor about this before taking Nimulid. It is prescribed with caution to elderly patients, with cardiovascular diseases, including arterial hypertension, a tendency to bleeding, pathology of the upper gastrointestinal tract, impaired renal function (dose reduction is recommended), against the background of treatment with anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents. If the patient is elderly, the doctor should monitor while taking the drug to make sure that Nimulide does not cause stomach, kidney, heart or liver disorders.

If visual impairment occurs, you should immediately stop taking the drug and consult an ophthalmologist.

If there is an intolerance to some sugars, the patient should inform the doctor before using the drug. Patients on a low-calorie diet should take into account that the drug contains lactose.
