Indications for use

Miraxidin - DF ® should not be mixed with other medications.
When using the drug externally, it is recommended to apply it to clean, dry skin, thoroughly rinsing off any remaining soap.
You should not use Miraxidin - DF ® for treating the conjunctiva and for washing body cavities, treating deep wounds and burns.
Do not expose clothing that has been in contact with the preparation to hypochlorites and other compounds that release active chlorine, due to the possibility of brown spots appearing on them.
In case of contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, they should be quickly and thoroughly rinsed with water.
Interactions with other drugs
Pharmaceutically incompatible with soap, alkalis and other anionic compounds (colloids, gum arabic, carboxymethylcellulose).
Compatible with drugs containing a cationic group (benzalkonium chloride, cetrimonium bromide). Increases the sensitivity of bacteria to chloramphenicol, kanamycin, neomycin, cephalosporins.
Ethanol enhances the effectiveness of the drug.

Use in pediatrics
Before performing invasive procedures, it is necessary to remove all materials soaked in chlorhexidine: bandages, sheets, napkins, gowns, etc. Do not use excessive amounts of solution. The solution should not be allowed to accumulate in skin folds, under the patient’s body, or on materials that are in direct contact with the child’s skin. If an airtight dressing (occlusive dressing) is to be applied to skin that has previously been exposed to chlorhexidine, ensure that there is no excess chlorhexidine solution on the skin before applying the dressing.
For children and adolescents from 3 to 18 years old, use Miraxidin - DF ® spray in the form of irrigation only when treating skin, wounds and ulcers. When treating diseases of the oral cavity, use tampons.
During pregnancy or lactation
Use with caution for nursing mothers and pregnant women due to the risk of allergic reactions!

Dosage regimen
Miraxidin- DF ® 0.05% solution is used by adults and children over 3 years of age as a preventive and therapeutic agent externally and locally in the form of irrigation, rinsing and applications (5-10 ml applied to the affected surface of the skin or mucous membranes):
- for postoperative care of patients in ENT and dentistry departments, Miraxidin- DF ® is prescribed as rinses 2-3 times a day
- for complex treatment of urethritis and urethroprostatitis, Miraxidin- DF ® is injected into the urethra 2-3 ml 1-2 times a day, the course of treatment is 10 days, procedures are prescribed every other day
- for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, Miraxidin- DF ® must be used no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse. Before using the drug, you must empty your bladder and wash the genital area with warm water without soap. Using a nozzle, insert the contents of the bottle into the urethra of men (2-3 ml), women (1-2 ml) and into the vagina (5-10 ml) for 2-3 minutes. It is also necessary to treat the skin of the inner thighs, pubis, and genitals. After the procedure, do not urinate for 2 hours.
For vaginal irrigation for women, Miraxidin- DF ® is available in 50 ml bottles in a corrugated bottle complete with a special nozzle. Before use, it is necessary to replace the cap of the bottle with the prepared solution with a special nozzle, insert it into the vagina and, by pressing on the bottom of the bottle, inject 5-10 ml of the solution for 2-3 minutes.
Children and teenagers from 3 to 18 years old:
- in the treatment of stomatitis, gingivitis, aphtha, periodontitis, alveolitis, it is necessary to carry out only application to the inflamed mucous membrane of the oral cavity with a swab moistened with the drug
- when treating skin, wounds and ulcers, Miraxidin - DF ® spray is sprayed onto the affected areas in an amount sufficient to moisturize them or a swab is moistened with it and applied to the wound or ulcer
- for individual prevention of bacterial and fungal diseases after visiting public places (swimming pools, saunas), Miraxidin - DF ® spray is sprayed onto the clean and dry surface of the skin of the hands and feet in an amount sufficient to moisturize them or moisten a swab with it and wipe
