The pharmacodynamics

Miconazolum is the imidocindery antifungal agent having fungicide and bactericidal activity against dimorphous fungi, dermatophytes and fungi of the sort Candida, including Candida albicans, Dimorphons fungi, Cryptococcus neoformans, Pityrosporum sp, Torulopsis glabrata and also against some gram-positive bacilli and cocci. In compliance with it

Mikonaz oral gel is effective at treatment of infections of an oral cavity and GIT, in particular, the caused Candida albicans fungus.

At low concentration of Miconazolum nitrate interacts with fungal cytochrome P - 450 which influences suppression of a step of demethylation in ergosterol biosynthesis. Impoverishment by ergosterol and the accompanying accumulation of a lanosterol is led to changes in a number of the functions connected with a membrane. At high concentrations Miconazolum interacts with lipids of membranes, causing their direct destruction with the subsequent spreading of contents of a fungal cell. At Candida albicans Miconazolum eventually inhibits a blastospor in an invasive filamentous form.
