Solid capsules No. 2, a body of the capsule of white color, a cover of the capsule of yellow color, contents – light-beige powder with yellow specks.
Pharmacotherapeutic group
Antidiarrheal drugs. Anti-diarrheal microorganisms. A combination of the microorganisms producing lactic acid with other

The Lineks® Capsule pharmacodynamics forte contain 2 various species of the viable lyophilized lactobacilli which are a part of normal intestinal microflora and participate in creation and maintenance of balance and function of intestinal microflora.
Lineks® which are a part forte bifido- and lactobacilli support and regulate physiological balance of intestinal microflora (microbiocenosis) and provide its physiological functions (antimicrobic, vitamin, digestive) in all departments of intestines - from a small intestine to a straight line.
Lactobacilli meet in thin more often, and bifidobacteria - in a large intestine. Getting into intestines, the Lineks® components forte perform all functions of own normal intestinal microflora:
- create unfavorable conditions for reproduction and activity of pathogenic microorganisms, by development of the metabolites and bakterin toxic for pathogenic bacteriums and also by the competition to pathogenic bacteriums for nutrients and blockings of adhesive receptors that interferes with colonization of potentially pathogenic microorganisms
- participate in synthesis of B1, B2, B3, PP vitamins, folic acid, vitamins K and E, ascorbic acid (normal microflora completely provides needs of the person for B6 and H vitamins (biotin), B12 vitamin in the nature is synthesized only by microorganisms)
- producing lactic acid and reducing rn intestinal contents, create favorable conditions for absorption of iron, calcium, vitamin D
- the lactic microorganisms inhabiting a small intestine carry out zymolysis of proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates (including in a lactose intolerance at children), the proteins and carbohydrates which are not soaked up in a small intestine are exposed to deeper splitting in a large intestine anaerobe bacterias (including bifidobacteria)
- emit enzymes, facilitating proteopepsis at babies (phosphoprotein-phosphatase of bifidobacteria participates in milk casein metabolism)
- participate in metabolism of bile acids (formation of stercobilin, coprosterol, deoxycholic and lithocholic acids, promote a reabsorption of bile acids)
Indications
- for prevention and as supportive application at a disbioz (dysbacteriosis), diarrhea, an abdominal distension and other gastrointestinal disturbances which are caused by viral and bacterial infections of digestive tract in newborns, children and adults (for example, a rotavirus infection, diarrhea), antimicrobial means (antibiotics and other synthetic antimicrobial means), radiation therapy of an abdominal cavity and bodies of a basin.
Babies and children up to 2 years are recommended to accept a route of administration and doses on 1 capsule during meal once a day, washing down with a small amount of liquid.
If the child cannot swallow the capsule, it is possible to open and mix it contents with a small amount of liquid - tea, juice, the sugared water. It does not affect viability of the bacteria which are a part of drug.
It is recommended to children from 2 to 12 years 1 - 2 time a day on 1 capsule during meal, washing down with a small amount of liquid.
If the child cannot swallow the whole capsule, contents with a small amount of liquid are allowed to open and mix it.
To adults and children 12 years are more senior it is recommended 1 - 3 time a day on 1 capsule during meal, washing down with a small amount of liquid.
Duration of treatment depends on the reason of development of dysbacteriosis and specific features of an organism.
If the condition of the patient after two days of treatment of Lineks® forte does not improve, it is necessary to see a doctor.
Side effects
Very seldom:
- allergic reactions
of the Contraindication
- hypersensitivity (intolerance) to any of components of drug or dairy products
- hereditary intolerance of fructose, deficiency of Lapp-lactoses enzyme, glucose galactose malabsorption
Medicinal interactions

As well as other bacteria, lactobacilli are susceptible to antibiotics. For this reason it is recommended to accept the Lineks® capsules forte not earlier than in 3 hours after reception of antibiotics.
Special instructions
should not be washed down drug with hot drinks and to accept along with alcohol.
Treatment of diarrhea at children is younger than 6 years carry out under observation of the doctor.
During treatment of diarrhea it is very important to compensate loss of liquid and electrolytes.
Линекс® forte contains anhydrous glucose and oligofructose, in this regard patients with rare hereditary problems of intolerance of fructose, deficiency of sucrose - isomaltoses, glucose absorption disturbances - galactoses should not take the drug.
Drug contains residues of milk proteins which can provoke allergic reaction.
Before therapy the patient should consult with the doctor in the following cases:
- if body temperature exceeds 38 °C
- if at a chair there is blood or slime
- if diarrhea proceeds more than two days
- if diarrhea has plentiful character and is followed by dehydration and loss of body weight
- if diarrhea is followed by severe pains in a stomach
- to the patients having such chronic diseases as: diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, immunodeficiency (for example, HIV infection).
Pregnancy and a lactation
Use in diarrhea during pregnancy and a lactation has to be carried out under the supervision of the doctor.
As data on safety of use of the drug Lineks® forte during pregnancy and a lactation are not enough, its use during the specified periods is not recommended.
