Structure
1 g of cream contains
active agents: dekspantenol (D-panthenol) in terms of 100% substance of 0.05250 g
of a chlorhexidin biglyukonat 0.00802 g,
excipients: propylene glycol, a macrogoal tsetostearat (Eumulgin B 2), cetostearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol no more than 60%, stearyl alcohol not less than 40%) (Lanette O), liquid paraffin (medical liquid paraffin), vaseline, hydrophosphate sodium dodecahydrate, potassium dihydrophosphate, water purified.

Combined Drug properties.
Dekspantenol group B vitamin, in an organism is metabolized in pantothenic acid which is a component of coenzyme A and participates in acetylation processes, carbohydrate and lipometabolism, in synthesis of acetylcholine, glucocorticosteroids, porphyrines, stimulates regeneration of skin, normalizes cellular metabolism, accelerates a mitosis and increases durability of collagenic fibers. Renders the regenerating, vitamin, metabolic and anti-inflammatory action.
Chlorhexidin antimicrobial drug which is antiseptic. It is effective concerning gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E.coli, Streptococcus spp., Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis, yeast-like mushrooms and dermatophytes, simplest (Trichomonas vaginalis) and viruses (type Herpes simplex II). Keeps activity in the presence of blood, pus, various secretion and organic substances.
Depantol cream protects a wound surface from infections, suppresses infectious process and accelerates healing.
Indications
- processing of wounds at danger of infection (grazes, cuts, scratches, cracks, raschyosa including after stings of insects, burns, trophic ulcers)
- processing of postoperative wounds
- treatment of contaminated wounds, burns (including solar), decubituses, grazes, cuts, cracks, trophic ulcers, an intertrigo
- treatment of the infected dermatosis (including eczema and atopic dermatitis)
- a diaper dermatitis, scratches with signs of infection at children
- cracks and inflammation of nipples of mammary glands with signs of infection at nursing mothers.
Route of administration and doses
Outwardly.
Cream is applied with a thin layer on an affected area of skin by 1-3 times a day.
To nursing mothers to grease with cream the infected surface of a nipple after each feeding by a breast.
To babies cream is applied on places of infection after each change of linen or hydrotherapeutic procedure. Course of treatment of 5-7 days.
Side effects
- an itching, burning, reddening

Medicinal interactions
Chlorhexidin is not compatible to soap and other anion substances.
Simultaneous use with iodine is not recommended.
Ethanol strengthens action of a chlorhexidin.
Special instructions
not to allow hit in eyes.
Pregnancy and a lactation
It is necessary to avoid use on extensive sites.
The feature of influence of medicine on ability to run the vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms
