Structure
One suppository contains
active agent – bisacodyl – 0.01 g,
excipients: silicon dioxide of colloidal 0.01 g, fat
of firm 1.28 g.

Description
Suppositories of white or cream color, cigar-shaped form. On a cut there have to be no impregnations, existence of an air core or funneled deepening is allowed.

Pharmacokinetics Bisacodyl properties - means of contact action. In the minimum degree it is absorbed from intestines (up to 5% of bisacodyl). After conjugation in a liver Bisacodyl joins in enterohepatic blood circulation, is partially emitted with kidneys.
At use of rectal candles before going to bed laxative action comes in 8-12 hours.
A pharmacodynamics
Bisacodyl – depletive.
Bisacodyl increases secretion of slime in a large intestine, accelerates and strengthens a vermicular movement of a large intestine, has laxative effect.
Bisacodyl is pro-medicine. At rectal use in the alkaline environment there is a hydrolysis to formation of the substance rendering irritant action on mucous a large intestine.
Effect of Bisacodyl is caused by direct stimulation of nerve terminations of a mucous membrane of a large intestine, stimulates removal of water and electrolytes in a gleam of intestines and blocks their reabsorption.

the Route of administration and doses
Previously having released constipations of various genesis I shine from planimetric packing by means of scissors, it is entered deeply into a rectum: to adults and teenagers at the age of 15-18 years – on 1-2 candles a day. To children at the age of 8-14 years – on 1 candle a day. It is not necessary to apply Bisacodyl more than 5-7 days.

Side effects
- intestinal colic, diarrhea (dehydration, muscle weakness, spasms, a lowering of arterial pressure), abdominal pains, a meteorism
- allergic reactions

Medicinal interactions
At simultaneous use of cardiac glycosides their action amplifies because of deficiency of potassium.

Pregnancy and a lactation
it is not necessary to use drug during pregnancy because of possible penetration of active ingredient through a placental barrier. Bisacodyl does not get into mother's milk. With care appoint in the period of a lactation.

Overdose
Symptoms: it is shown by diarrhea with loss of a large amount of liquid and electrolytes, muscle weakness and spasms.
Treatment: take measures for elimination of dehydration and/or restoration of ionic balance.

On 5 suppositories in blister strip packaging from a polyvinylchloride film. On the 2nd blister strip packagings together with the instruction for medical use in the state and Russian languages place in a pack from cardboard.
