What is AFLUBIN®?

AFLUBIN® is a homeopathic remedy available in tablet and oral drop forms, designed to support the treatment and prevention of flu and other acute respiratory infections. It is also used as an adjunct in managing inflammatory and rheumatic conditions associated with joint pain. The formula combines several natural ingredients that work synergistically to help stimulate the immune response and alleviate symptoms effectively.

How is AFLUBIN® Formulated and Dosaged?

AFLUBIN® is available in two main forms:

  1. Tablets: These are sublingual tablets that dissolve under the tongue, available in packs of 12 or 24 tablets.
  2. Oral Drops: Homeopathic drops, containing a blend of herbal extracts and alcohol, meant for easy ingestion.

What Conditions Does AFLUBIN® Treat?

AFLUBIN® can be used in several health contexts:

  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Acute Respiratory Viral Infections (ARVI)
  • Inflammatory and Rheumatic Conditions with Joint Pain

It is effective both as a preventive treatment before flu seasons or after exposure to cold conditions, and as a supportive treatment for ongoing infections or inflammatory symptoms.

What Should You Know Before Starting AFLUBIN®?

Are There Any Contraindications?

  • Allergy to Ingredients: AFLUBIN® should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of its active or inactive components.
  • Lactose Intolerance: The tablets contain lactose monohydrate, and individuals with lactose intolerance or galactose metabolism issues should avoid using them.

Can AFLUBIN® Be Taken With Other Medications?

Currently, there are no known interactions between AFLUBIN® and other medications. However, it is always advisable to consult a healthcare provider when combining it with other treatments.

Are There Any Lifestyle Considerations?

Unhealthy lifestyle factors, such as stimulant use or the consumption of exotic foods, may potentially reduce the effectiveness of AFLUBIN®. It is recommended to maintain a balanced lifestyle to ensure optimal outcomes from the medication.

How Should AFLUBIN® Be Used?

Preventive Treatment Guidelines

  1. Seasonal Prevention (before cold weather or flu season):

    • Adults and Children Over 12 Years: 1 tablet or 10 drops twice daily for three weeks.
    • Children 2 to 12 Years: ½ tablet or 5 drops twice daily for three weeks.
  2. After Exposure (immediately after contact with a flu patient or after significant cold exposure):

    • Adults and Children Over 12 Years: 1 tablet or 10 drops twice daily for two days.
    • Children 2 to 12 Years: ½ tablet or 5 drops twice daily for two days.

    Treatment for Acute Symptoms

For flu, ARVI, or inflammatory conditions:

    1. Initial Phase (Days 1-2):

      • Adults and Children Over 12 Years: 1 tablet or 10 drops every 30-60 minutes, up to a maximum of 8 times daily, until symptom relief starts.
      • Children 2 to 12 Years: ½ tablet or 5 drops every 30-60 minutes.
    2. Continuation Phase (Days 3-7):

      • Adults and Children Over 12 Years: 1 tablet or 10 drops three times daily.
      • Children 2 to 12 Years: ½ tablet or 5 drops three times daily.

To enhance effectiveness, AFLUBIN® should be taken either 30 minutes before or one hour after eating.

Tablets should dissolve under the tongue, while drops can be taken directly or mixed with a small amount of water.

Are There Special Considerations During Pregnancy and Lactation?

    • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: There is insufficient evidence regarding the safety of AFLUBIN® during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Therefore, it should be used cautiously during these periods after consulting a healthcare provider.

Are There Any Warnings or Precautions?

    • Initial Symptom Worsening: It is common for symptoms to temporarily worsen at the beginning of treatment, as AFLUBIN® stimulates the immune system. This reaction is typically harmless. However, if symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
    • Alcohol Content in Drops: AFLUBIN® oral drops contain 43% ethanol. This makes them unsuitable for individuals with alcohol dependence, liver disease, or epilepsy.
    • Vehicle Operation: AFLUBIN® tablets and drops do not affect the ability to operate vehicles or heavy machinery.

What are the Possible Side Effects?

AFLUBIN® is generally well tolerated. Occasionally, users may experience:

    • Increased Salivation: This is rare and not dangerous. If it becomes bothersome, reduce the dosage or consult a healthcare professional.

What If You Miss a Dose or Overdose?

    • Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but skip it if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.
    • Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported. However, given the ethanol content in the drops, a large ingestion may warrant medical advice.

    How Should AFLUBIN® Be Stored?

    • Temperature: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25ºC (77ºF).
    • Protection: Keep in a place protected from light and away from strong electromagnetic fields.
