Pharmacokinetics Gel Dosage Form properties in which are included indometacin and trokserutin provides good absorption from the surface of skin and creates necessary concentration in the fabrics lying under it and synovial fluid.
Trokserutin represents mix of hydroxyethyl derivatives of a bioflavonoid of routines (O-(b-hydroxyethyl) rutosides) in which prevails trigidroksietilrutozid (troxerutin).
The pharmacodynamics
Indovazin gel represents the combined medicine which part are indometacin and trokserutin.
Indometacin possesses the significant anti-inflammatory, analgetic and antiedematous action. It leads to removal of pain, reduction of hypostasis and reduces time for recovery of the injured joints and fabrics. The main mechanism of action is connected with suppression of synthesis of prostaglandins by means of reversible blockade of cyclooxygenase. Indometacin possesses more accurately significant anti-inflammatory action in comparison with salicylates and phenylbutazone.
Trokserutin (trigidroksietilrutinozid) represents a bioflavonoid. It belongs to angioprotektorny means. Reduces permeability of capillaries and shows venotoniziruyushchy action. It blocks venodilatiruyushchy action of a histamine, bradykinin and acetylcholine. Affects protivovospalitelno perivenous fabric, reduces fragility of capillaries and possesses some antiagregantny action. Reduces puffiness, improves a trophicity at the pathological changes connected with venous insufficiency.
When drawing on skin Indovazin gel suppresses inflammatory edematous reaction, kills pain and temperature in the centers of inflammation which are on a surface and in depth, reaching the blood vessels located there. Shows venotoniziruyushchy, kapillyaroprotektorny and haemo static action.

Indications
– chronic venous insufficiency
– the varicosity which is followed by pains and hypostases
– prevention varicose phlebectasia
– superficial thrombophlebitis, phlebitis, posleflebitny states
– hemorrhoids (in complex therapy)
– rheumatism of soft tissues: a tendovaginitis, a bursitis, a fibrositis, a periarthritis
– hypostases after surgical interventions, contusions, dislocations, stretchings.

The route of administration and doses
Drug is intended for external use.
4-5 cm of gel apply 3-4 times a day with a thin layer on an affected area the easy rubbing movements. The general daily quantity should not exceed 20 cm. Duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.

Side effects
– it is very rare: allergic reactions – reddening, an itching, skin rash

– supersensitivity to acting or to any auxiliary component of drug
– supersensitivity to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NPVS)
– pregnancy
– the lactation period
– children’s age up to 14 years.

Gel along with corticosteroid drugs as strengthening of their ulcerogenic effect is possible is not recommended to apply medicinal interactions.
With care it is necessary to use drug along with other NPVS, antibiotics, anticoagulants, hypoglycemic drugs.

Special instructions
It is necessary to be careful at drug use by the patient with bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis or other atopies.
Apply only to the uninjured skin. It is necessary to avoid hit of gel on mucous membranes, open wound surfaces or in eyes.
At a course of treatment lasting more than 10 days it is necessary to carry out laboratory control of a leukocytic and platelet formula.
The feature of influence on ability to run the vehicle or potentially dangerous mechanisms
does not influence ability to drive and work with the equipment.

The overdose
Is not present data on overdose cases at topical administration of drug.
At long-term treatment (more than 10 days) can there will be a severe headache, hemorrhages.
At accidental absorption the burning sensation in a mouth, a slyunovydeleniye, nausea, vomiting is possible. Treatment: washing of an oral cavity and stomach, if necessary – symptomatic treatment.
At hit in eyes, on mucous membranes or open wound surfaces the local irritation – lachrymation, reddening, burning, pain is observed.
Treatment: washing of an affected area plentiful amount of the distilled water or normal saline solution before disappearance or reduction of complaints.
