Pharmacotherapeutic group
Expectorant drugs. Combination of the expectorant
drugs ATX R05CA10 Code Pharmacological Combined Medicine of Plant Origin Properties.
Pharmacological properties are caused by biologically active agents which are a part of drug. Sinupret extract has sekretolitichesky, anti-inflammatory, antiviral effect. Promotes outflow of exudate from adnexal bosoms of a nose and upper airways, preventing development of complications.
Indications
Acute and chronic sinusitis (etmoidita, frontal sinusitis, antritises) which are followed by formation of a viscous secret.
A route of administration and doses
to Adults and teenagers since 12 years: on 1 tablet 3 times a day
the Course of treatment makes 7-14 days.
The maximum recommended daily dose 3 tablets.
Tablets should be swallowed, without chewing, washing down with a small amount of water.
Side effects
For assessment of frequency of undesirable side reactions the scale is used:
Very often (& ge, 1/10) i.e. more than 1 case on 10 cases of use of drug,
are frequent (& ge, 1/100 to & lt, 1/10) i.e. more than 1 case on 100, but less than 1 cases on 10 cases of use of drug,
Infrequently (& ge, 1/1000 to & lt, 1/100) i.e. more than 1 case on 1000, but less than 1 cases on 100 cases of use of drug,
are rare (& ge, 1/10000 to & lt, 1/1000) i.e. more than 1 case on 10000, but less than 1 cases on 1000 cases of use of drug,
Are very rare (& lt, 1/10000) i.e. less than 1 case on 10000 cases of use of drug,
Are not unknown frequency can be defined on the basis of the available data.
The following side effects are possible:
From digestive tract:
– often gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, a meteorism, diarrhea, dryness in a mouth, an abdominal pain)
from the immune system:
– not often reactions of hypersensitivity of skin (skin rashes, erubescences, an itching of skin and an eye)
– it is not known system allergic reactions (Quincke’s disease, an asthma, a face edema)
from nervous system:
– dizziness
At emergence of the described above or other side effects is not frequent it is necessary to stop administration of drug and to see a doctor.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to any component of drug
– children’s and teenage age up to 12 years
– a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum
– intolerance of fructose, sakharo-izomaltazny insufficiency, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption.
Medicinal interactions of Interaction with other medicines are unknown so far. Special researches with other medicines were not conducted therefore it is possible that the effect of other medicine taken along with Sinupret by extract can be increased or reduced.
Special instructions
If symptoms remain more than 7-14 days or repeat periodically, it is necessary to consult with the doctor.
In case of temperature increase, nasal bleeding, severe pains, mucopurulent discharges from a nose, a disorder of vision, asymmetries or numbness of the person, it is necessary to see behind consultation a doctor as the listed symptoms are considered as serious for all forms of rinosinusit.
To patients in a stage of exacerbation of diseases of digestive tract extract with caution is recommended to take Sinupret, it is desirable after a meal, washing down with a glass of water.
Information for diabetics:
1 tablet contains on average 0.02 grain units
Pregnancy and the period of a lactation
should not be applied during pregnancy and feeding by a breast (because of insufficiency of clinical data).
Influence on ability to run vehicles or potentially dangerous mechanisms
Drug in the recommended doses does not affect ability to run transport and for work with dangerous mechanisms.
Overdose
About cases of overdose it was not reported. In case of overdose the side effects described in the section Side effects can be more expressed. In this case it is necessary to stop administration of drug and to see a doctor. Treatment at overdose – symptomatic.
