Description
The instruction for medical use of RENNIE medicine the Trade name of Rennie Mezhdunarodnoye the unlicensed name Is not present. A dosage form chewable tablets with menthol taste. One tablet contains structure: active agents: calcium carbonate of 680 mg, magnesium carbonate of the main 80 mg, excipients: sucrose, starch corn prezhelatinizirovanny, potato starch, talc, magnesium stearate, paraffin easy liquid, additive menthol, additive lemon. The description of the Tablet of square shape with concave surfaces of color, white with a cream shade, with marking of RENNIE on both sides, with a menthol smell. Pharmacotherapeutic group Drugs for treatment of the diseases connected with disturbance of acidity. Combination of drugs of aluminum, calcium and magnesium. The maximum level of absorption – calcium of 10% and magnesium of 15-20%. A small amount of the absorbed calcium and magnesium is removed through kidneys. The pharmacodynamics Drug contains antiacid substances – calcium a carbonate and magnesium a carbonate which provide fast and long neutralization of excess hydrochloric acid of gastric juice, thereby having protective action on a mucous membrane of a stomach. The positive effect develops quickly in 3-5 minutes. Compounds of calcium and magnesium are soaked up from intestines slightly and therefore systemic action is no. Indications For elimination of the symptoms caused by hyperoxemia of gastric juice: – heartburn – feeling of overflow or weight in epigastric area – a meteorism – nausea – an acid eructation. Contraindications – the increased individual sensitivity to drug components – the profound renal failures – a hypercalcemia – a gipermagniyemiya – a myasthenia – the children’s age up to 12 years Medicinal interactions At simultaneous use reduces absorption of indometacin, salicylates, Chlorpromazinum, Phenytoinum, H2-gistaminoblokatorov, beta blockers, a diflunizal, an isoniazid, antibiotics of a tetratsikliny row, indirect anticoagulants, warm glycosides, barbiturates, iron preparations (the listed drugs should be used in 1 hour prior to or in 1 hour after administration of drug of Rennie). Anticholinergic drugs strengthen and extend action, slowing down gastric emptying. Enhances effect of Sulfadiazinum, a levodopa, acetylsalicylic acid and Acidum nalidixicum. Thiazide diuretics reduce calcium excretion. Due to the increased risk of development of a hypercalcemia, it is regularly necessary to control amount of calcium at simultaneous use with thiazide diuretics. Special instructions Patients should ask for medical care if loss of weight is observed, difficulties when swallowing or constant discomfort in a stomach – possible changes in digestive tract – a renal failure (it is necessary to be checked for presence of calcium in blood serum). Due to the sucrose presence Rennie’s drug is not recommended to be taken at intolerance of fructose, disturbance of absorption of glucose and a galactose. Rennie should not use for treatment more than 10 days. It is not necessary to exceed the established dose (the dosage should not exceed 11 tablets a day) and if, symptoms remain or only partially pass it is necessary to see a doctor. Rennie is not recommended to be accepted with a large number of milk and dairy products. Pregnancy and the period of a lactation not to exceed the recommended daily dose. Long reception of high doses it is necessary to avoid. Does not render feature of influence of medicine on ability to run transport or potentially dangerous mechanisms. Overdose Symptoms: administration of drug and in high doses can lead for a long time to a hypercalcemia which disappears after the termination of administration of drug.
