The description
Soft gelatin capsules of an oval form, from opaque two-color is red / a black cover. Capsule contents olive-brown liquid with a characteristic smell.

Pharmacokinetics Extract properties of fruits of a palm tree of creeping (Serenoa repens) is quickly soaked up. After oral administration the maximum concentration in plasma is reached after about 1.5 hours. Other data concerning pharmacokinetics are not available.
The pharmacodynamics
Extract of fruits of a palm tree of creeping (Serenoa repens), also known as a synonym fruits sabalya melkopilchaty (Sabalis serrulatae) renders anti-proliferative anti-androgenic, anti-inflammatory, and antiedematous effects which are selectively shown at the level of a prostate. Drug does not affect the level of sex hormones in blood plasma, does not affect potency and a libido and does not change the level of prostatospetsifichesky antigen in blood plasma.
Local anti-proliferative effect of drug is shown by decrease of the activity of growth factors (first of all epidermal and fibroblastichesky), slowing down of linking of receptors of prolactin with the subsequent disturbance of processes of signal transmission in cells of a prostate and acceleration of processes of apoptosis of cells of a prostate that is reflected in growth inhibition of volume of a prostate.
The mechanism of local anti-androgenic action is caused by inhibition of synthesis of dihydrotestosterone from testosterone (due to enzyme 5 oppression – alpha reductase I and II of types) and its fixings to cytosolic receptors of cells of a prostate that interferes with penetration of hormone into a kernel. As a result of it protein synthesis decreases.
The mechanism of local anti-inflammatory action is caused by the fact that extract of fruits of a palm tree of creeping (Serenoa repens), inhibits activity of a phospholipase of A2, 5-of a lipoxygenase and release of arachidonic acid, thereby reduces synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes which are inflammation mediators. Prostamol Uno reduces permeability of capillaries and vascular staz, reduces puffiness and inflammatory process in a prostate, eliminates a compression of a neck of a bladder and the urinary channel, improving indicators of an urodynamic.
The drug Prostamol Uno promotes reduction of expressiveness of pathological symptoms of a benign hyperplasia of a prostate (to a dysuria, a pollakiuria, a nocturia, painful feelings and feeling of tension at urination, incomplete bladder emptying), to increase in volume and force of urination. Against the background of use of drug the further growth and increase in volume of a prostate slows down.
Indications
– disturbance of urination in a benign hyperplasia of a prostate of I and II stage
– elimination of dysuric symptoms (urination disorder, a night pollakiuria, a pain syndrome, etc.) in chronic prostatitis.
The route of administration and doses
Prostamol Uno should be accepted on 1 capsule (320 mg) after a meal once a day, without chewing, with enough liquid, at the same time day (it is desirable in the evening).
Duration of use depends on a look, severity and a course of the disease and is not limited on time. Weakening of symptoms at the same time can be expected approximately in six weeks. The full efficiency is reached not earlier than in three months. If complaints do not decrease or amplify, it is necessary to consult with the doctor.
Side effects
