the Pharmacodynamics
drug PROSTAMED contains the globulin received from seeds of pumpkin ordinary. From 15 amino acids emitted from this globulin and identified so far particular importance is attached to glutaminic acid. By means of a catalysis of oxidizing deamination, glutaminic acid reduces the increased level of free amino acids in hypertrophied fabric of a prostate. As a result the amount of amino acids which can be used for biosynthesis of proteins decreases, and prostate fabric proliferation is slowed down. Seeds of pumpkin contain kukurbitin, phytosterols in a free and connected form, tokoferola and also mineral substances, including selenium. The goldenrod increases filtrational ability of kidneys and by that counteracts the beginning formation of residual urine in adenoma of a prostate of the II stage. Increase in a tone of muscles of a bladder leads to improvement of symptoms of disorders of urination (especially dysurias) and to reduction of amount of residual urine. The goldenrod possesses anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic and diuretic actions. The aspen contains a set of phenolic glycosides, especially salicin, populin and salipopulin. Salicin is oxidized in a human body and turns into the salicylic acid possessing antiseptic action in an urethrocystitis. The phenolic glycosides having anti-inflammatory properties reduce pains in a prostate and a bladder hyperesthesia.
Indications
of Disorder of urination in a benign hyperplasia (adenoma) of a prostate of the I-II stages:
– the complicated urination, frequent urination, including, at night, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying (presence of residual urine)
– insuperable desires to urination
– as a part of complex treatment of acute and chronic prostatitis.
A route of administration and doses
On 2–4 chewable tablets 3 times a day. Tablets should be swallowed entirely or previously having chewed, washing down with a small amount of liquid.
Duration of use of medicine is defined by the doctor depending on character and a course of the disease. The recommended treatment duration not less than 3 months.
