Pharmacokinetics Lomeksin properties is practically not exposed to system absorption, at prolonged vaginal use, its concentration in blood is not defined. Extent of absorption by mucous membranes is extremely insignificant.
A pharmacodynamics
Lomeksin – antifungal drug of a broad spectrum of activity for topical administration in gynecology. Fentikonazol (active ingredient of Lomeksin) is to synthetic derivatives of an imidazole (its racemic mix in the form of nitrate salt of a fentikonazol). Renders local fungicide, fungistatic and antibacterial action. The mechanism of action consists in inhibition of synthesis of the ergosterol regulating permeability of a cellular membrane of mushrooms. It is active concerning barmy mushrooms of Candida spp. (including Candida albicans), gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp.) and also concerning Trichomonas vaginalis.
Unlike other known azolny connections (in particular, an econazola, Miconazolum and a ketokonazol) fentikonazol biosynthesis of Candida spp proteases inhibits. This action does not depend on the size of anti-mycotic activity and is caused by inhibition of one of modes of formation of proteolytic enzymes yeast-like mushrooms.

the Route of administration and doses
enter Cream (about 5 g) deeply into a vagina in a prone position, 1 time a day, before going to bed or, if necessary, 2 times a day – in the morning and in the evening. A course of treatment – up to 7 days.
In order to avoid repeated infection it is recommended to carry out at the same time treatment of the partner by cream which is applied on a balanus and a prepuce.
Use of the applicator:

Attach the applicator to a tuba instead of a cover.

Softly squeeze out tuba contents before full filling of the applicator. At emergence of resistance pull the applicator piston slightly up. The applicator has to be completely filled with cream if there are no other instructions of the attending physician.

Remove the applicator from a tuba.
To a tube to a zakroyka lid.

Enter the applicator deeply into a vagina (as far as possible), in a dorsal decubitus, knees are bent. Pressing on the piston, squeeze out all cream from the applicator.
To watch that the applicator was ideally clean.
After each use, carefully to wash the applicator with warm water (it is not above 50 °C) with soap and to dry up.
Not to use organic solvents for washing of the applicator.
To store the dry applicator in a case.
If the attending physician advises sterilization of the applicator, follow its instructions.
Side effects
Very seldom:
– easy reddening, burning sensation in the place of use of drug. Lomeksin, as a rule, is well had, side effects have tranzitorny character and do not demand drug withdrawal.

– children’s and teenage age up to 18 years

At long use of drug perhaps development of a sensitization. In this case it is necessary to stop treatment and to see the attending physician.
The fats and oils which are a part of drug can lead to damage of the contraceptives made of latex.
