The pharmacodynamics of Galavit® is applied as immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory drug in complex therapy of immunodeficiency. The mechanism of effect of drug is connected with its ability to influence functional and metabolic activity of phagocytal cells (monocytes/macrophages, neutrophils, natural killers). Besides, Galavit® normalizes antibodyformation, indirectly stimulates development of endogenous interferon (IFN-α, IFN-γ). In inflammatory diseases drug reversibly for 6-8 hours inhibits excess synthesis by hyper elicited macrophages of a factor of necrosis опухолей-α, interleukin-1, interleukin-6 and other pro-inflammatory cytokines, active forms of oxygen which level defines extent of inflammatory reactions, their recurrence and also severity of intoxication and level of an oxidatic stress. Normalization of a functional condition of macrophages leads to restoration of the antigen presenting and regulating function of macrophages, decrease in level of an autoaggression. Stimulates bactericidal activity of neutrocytes, strengthening phagocytosis and increasing nonspecific resistance of an organism to infectious diseases. The main pharmacological effects (immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory) are observed within 72 hours. Adults and children from 12 years in monotherapy have acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases of digestive tract which are followed by intoxication and/or diarrhea – persistent urogenital infections, including when holding immunorehabilitation actions during the interrecurrent period for the purpose of maintenance of clinical remission. At children 6 years as a part of complex therapy – purulent surgical diseases (burn defeats, a recurrent furunculosis, chronic osteomyelitis, gangrenous appendicitis with an omentitis, peritonitis, purulent pleurisy), – frequent recurrent respiratory diseases and ENT organs of a bacterial and virus etiology (frequent SARS, bronchitis, pneumonia, an adenoid disease, chronic otitis, a chronic adenoiditis) are more senior. The route of administration and doses At adults and children are more senior than 12 years as a part of complex therapy Intramusculary. Before introduction drug is dissolved in 2 ml of water for injections or 0.9% chloride sodium solution. Doses, frequency rate of introduction and duration of use are selected the doctor depending on the diagnosis, disease severity, age of the patient. – In a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut in an acute period: 2 days on 200 mg once a day, then on 100 mg with an interval of 72 hours. Course of 15-25 injections. In the chronic period: 5 days on 100 mg once a day, then on 100 mg in 72 hours. Course of 20 injections. – In a viral hepatitis And, In, With an initial dose makes 200 mg once, then on 100 mg 2 times a day before stopping of symptoms of intoxication and inflammation. The subsequent continuation of a course on 100 mg with an interval of 72 hours. A course – 20 injections. – For postoperative rehabilitation of patients with a hysteromyoma and at complications of the postoperative period at women of reproductive age: 5 days on 100 mg once a day, then on 100 mg every other day. A course – 15 injections. – For prevention and treatment of postoperative infectious complications in to – and the postoperative period (including, at oncological patients) appoint on 100 mg 5 injections before operation, 5 after operation on 100 mg every other day and 5 injections on 100 mg of c an interval of 72 hours once a day. Course of 20 injections. – At asthenic states, neurotic and somatoformny disorders, in mental, behavioural and post-abstinent disorders, at patients with alcohol and drug addiction: 5 days on 100 mg daily, then on 100 mg in 72 hours. Course of 15-20 injections. For increase in physical effeciency: on 100 mg every other day – 5 injections, then on 100 mg in 72 hours, a course up to 20 injections. – In inflammatory diseases of a mucous membrane of an oral cavity and throat, parodont diseases: an initial dose of 100 mg daily 5 injections, then on 100 mg with an interval of 72 hours. Course of 15 injections. When bandagings the external use of Galavita® in the form of bandages with the sterile napkins moistened with 1% – m Galavita® solution in water for injections is desirable (in bandages with the talker or water-soluble salve dressings). – In frequent recurrent respiratory diseases and ENT organs of a bacterial and virus etiology (frequent SARS, bronchitis, pneumonia, an adenoid disease, chronic otitis, a chronic adenoiditis): children are from 6 to 12 years old on one injection 50 mg daily within 5 days, then on 50 mg once a day every other day within 10 – 15 days. Course of 10-13 injections. To children is aged more senior 12 up to 18 years – treatment according to the same scheme in the form of intramuscular injections on 100 mg. For patients of advanced age of a dose are not adjusted. Side effects Seldom (from 0.01% to 0.1%) – allergic reactions from skin and hypodermic fabrics: skin rash, an itching, a small tortoiseshell of the Contraindication – individual intolerance of drug – pregnancy – the lactation period – children’s age up to 6 years (there is no clinical experience of use).
