Description

Composition

One suppository contains

active substances: streptokinase 13 500 – 16 500 IU, streptodornase 1 250 – 20 000 IU,
excipients: witepsol N15, paraffin oil.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacokinetics

The drug contains two active substances: streptokinase and strepto-dornase. Streptokinase is an activator of the plasminogen proenzyme contained in human blood, and under the influence of streptokinase it turns into plasmin, which has the property of dissolving human blood clots. Streptodornase is an enzyme with the ability to dissolve sticky masses of nucleoproteins, dead cells or pus without affecting living cells and their physiological functions.

Pharmacodynamics

DISTREPTAZA® in the form of suppositories is used as a self-medication or as an adjuvant. The drug improves the access of antibiotics or chemotherapeutic agents to the site of inflammation, reduces subjective suffering and greatly shortens the treatment period.

Indications for use

– chronic inflammation of the appendages
– postoperative infiltrative changes
– inflammation of the lining of the uterus
– hemorrhoids with acute and chronic course
– perirectal abscesses and fistulas with extensive inflammatory
infiltration
– purulent caudal cysts

Method of administration and dosage

Remove the suppository and insert it deeply into the rectum.
The dosage depends on the type and degree of intensity of the inflammatory process.
In severe cases of the disease in adults:
1 suppository 3 times a day for the first 3 days;
1 suppository 2 times a day for the next 3 days;
1 suppository 1 time per day for the next 3 days.
With mild to moderate severity of the disease in adults:
1 suppository 2 times a day for 3 days;
1 suppository once a day for the next 4 days,
or 1 suppository 2 times a day for 2 days.
On average, 8 – 18 suppositories are used for a course of treatment.
The average duration of the course of treatment is 7-10 days.

Side effects

Sometimes

– allergic reactions
– increased body temperature
– tendency to bleeding

Contraindications

– hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
– the early period after operations on the pelvic organs and rectum
– hemorrhagic diathesis
– pregnancy and lactation
– children and adolescents up to 18 years old

Drug interactions

Enhances the penetration of antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs into the inflammation focus.

Do not use concomitantly with anticoagulants, as local bleeding may occur.

If you are taking other medicines, be sure to inform your doctor!

Special instructions

In case of any atypical reactions, be sure to consult your doctor about the possibility of continuing to use the drug!

The drug should not come into contact with a fresh wound or suture, as this can lead to relaxation of the sutures and, as a consequence, bleeding from the wound.

During treatment with DISTREPTAZA®, do not take any other medicines (including those sold without a prescription) without first consulting your doctor. Uncontrolled treatment can damage your health.

Storage conditions

Store at temperatures between 2 ºC and 8 ºC.
Do not freeze!
Keep out of the reach of children!

Shelf life – 3 years
Do not use after the expiration date.
