Structure

active agent – acyclovir of 50 mg,
excipients: dinatrium edeteat, chlorocresol, cetostearyl alcohol, paraffin white soft, tsetomakrogol 1000, propylene glycol, dimetikon, paraffin light liquid, the water purified.

Pharmacokinetics At properties topical administration on intact skin acyclovir is not soaked up in a system blood stream and is not defined in urine (system absorption minimum).
When drawing on the skin affected with the surrounding herpes the system absorption of acyclovir is 30-50% of concentration which is reached at intake. At patients with normal renal function of concentration in blood serum make up to 0.28 mkg/ml, and at persons with disturbances by renal function – up to 0.78 mkg/ml. Removal is carried out by kidneys. Approximately up to 9% of a daily dose it can be removed with urine.
Pharmacodynamics
Atsigerpin synthetic analog of an acyclic purine nucleoside. Possesses high selective effect on herpes viruses. In the cells infected with a virus under the influence of a virus thymidinekinase there takes place a number of consecutive reactions of transformation of acyclovir in mono, di – and acyclovir triphosphate. Atsiklovirtrifosfat is built in a chain of virus DNA and blocks its synthesis by means of competitive inhibition of a virus DNA polymerase.
Acyclovir is effective against a herpes simplex virus – Herpes simplex of type I and II, against the Varisella zoster virus.

Indications
– the infections of skin and mucous membranes caused by herpes simplex viruses (Negrekh simplex) 1 and 2 types.

A route of administration and doses
Only for external use!
Atsigerpin cream is applied outwardly at adults and children from 12 years.
The amount of the drug applied to skin depends on the size of an affected area. Cream should be applied on affected areas of skin every 4 hour (5 times a day) within 5 days. After recovery, acyclovir has to be appointed at least three more days.

Side effects
– at prolonged use the emergence of local allergic reactions in the form of erubescence, peelings, an erythema, xeroderma on the site of application of drug
– in some cases perhaps local irritation of a mucous membrane, burning sensation, an acute pain is sometimes possible.

Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to drug components
– children’s age up to 12 years.

Special instructions
Atsigerpin cream should not be applied on the mucous surfaces of an oral cavity, an eye, vaginas.
Pregnancy and the period of a lactation
At pregnant women and the feeding women at drug Atsigerpin use cream it is necessary to estimate expected advantage for mother and potential risk for a fruit. At use it is recommended to stop breastfeeding.

Overdose
overdose Probability low as drug is intended for external use.

On 5 g cream in an aluminum tuba.
