excipients: a polietilenoksidny basis (Makrogol-1500 (95%), Makrogol – 400 (5%)) – before receiving a suppository weighing 2.60 g.

Pharmacokinetics Benzocaine properties, zinc oxide and left menthol are practically not absorbed.
Bismuth subgallate – absorption insignificant. Removal of the soaked-up part – generally kidneys, but a number can keep in bones and fabrics (it is capable to kumulirovat, causing an intoxication syndrome). Bismuth gets through a placenta.
The pharmacodynamics
the Combined drug, renders the mestnoanesteziruyushchy, antiseptic, knitting and drying action.
Benzocaine – local anesthetic for surface anesthesia. Reduces permeability of a cellular membrane for sodium, forces out from the receptors located on an internal surface of a membrane blocks carrying out local impulses. Interferes with emergence of painful impulses in the terminations of sensory nerves and to their carrying out on nerve fibrils.
Bismuth subgallate – antiseptic, has the knitting, drying, analgeziruyushchy effect. Causes consolidation of colloids (coagulation of proteins) of extracellular liquid, slime, exudate, cellular membranes. The film which is formed at the same time protects the terminations of sensory nerves from irritation, reduces pain, limits or interferes with edematization. Causes local vasoconstriction, reduces their permeability, exudation, reduces intensity of inflammatory process. Does not irritate fabrics (the formed albuminates poorly are dissociated).
Zinc oxide – anti-inflammatory local drug, renders the drying, adsorbing, knitting and antiseptic action. Forms, albuminates and denatures proteins. When drawing reduces the phenomena of exudation, inflammation and irritation of fabrics by the struck surface, forms a protective barrier from action of the irritating factors.
Left menthol – local irritative means which effect is generally caused by the reflex reactions connected with irritation of sensitive receptors of mucous membranes. Renders the easy mestnoanesteziruyushchy (‘distracting’) action, has weak antiseptic properties.
