the Pharmacological

Pharmacokinetics Anticataractous Means properties, has metabolic effect. Taurine is the sulfur-containing amino acid which is formed in an organism in the course of cysteine transformation. Drug promotes improvement of power processes, stimulates reparative processes in the diseases of dystrophic character and processes which are followed by considerable disturbance of metabolism of tissues of eye. As sulfur-containing amino acid drug contributes to normalization of function of cellular membranes, improvement of power and exchange processes.

Indications
– cornea dystrophy
– a cataract (senile, diabetic, traumatic, beam)
– a cornea injury (as a stimulator of reparative processes)

the Route of administration and doses
In a cataract appoint drug in the form of instillations on 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day within 3 months. The course is repeated with a monthly interval. In injuries and dystrophic diseases of a cornea apply in the same doses within 1 month

Side effects

– the increased individual sensitivity to drug components
– children’s age up to 18 years

Medicinal interactions
Perhaps combined use of taurine with Timololum.
Cases of negative medicinal interaction of taurine with other drugs which are applied in ophthalmology are not described.
In need of simultaneous use of other ophthalmologic medicines (eye drops, etc.), the interval between use of taurine and other drugs has to make not less than 10-15 minutes.

The special
instructions Pregnancy and the period of a lactation
of Sufficient experience on use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast are not present. Use of taurine for treatment of pregnant women and nursing mothers appointed by the attending physician is possible if the expected medical effect for mother exceeds risk of development of possible side effects for a fruit and the child.
The preservative which is contained in drug can render irritant action approximately when carrying contact lenses therefore any contact lenses should be removed before burying and to put on not earlier than in 15 min. after it.
Features of influence of medicine on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of potentially dangerous mechanisms
Data on a possibility of negative influence of drug on performance of potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention and fast reactions (driving and other vehicles, work of the dispatcher, etc.) are absent.

Overdose
Data on overdose are absent.

A form of release and packing
On 10 ml in the sterile polymeric bottles droppers which are hermetically closed by the polymeric traffic jams droppers and covers screwed.
On 1 bottle – a dropper together with the instruction for use in the state and Russian languages place in a pack from cardboard.
